Decorative painting in local schools, and for children is a true love...They love to see the
characters come to life. They are so fascinated with art! It's truly a joy to be able
to share my gifting in this way!
Pleasant Ridge Elementary School Started in 1906, Pleasant Ridge has quite a bit of History in the North Knoxville Area. Thousands
of children have come and gone through these doors! The school was in need of some TLC, and some MMDesigns help to give
it a face lift. We knocked out the walls-Naomi style and created a scene at the entrance of the Old School House as it
originally was in 1906. It is as accurate of a depiction as I could do, with a few modern touches...I don't think they
would have had a swing tire in 1906-the stream runs down the stairs, and the children now go through outhouse doors instead
of plain bathroom doors. It is quite a transformation! Right Click on any page
in the slide show to edit, rewind, etc.

Hardin Valley-Click pictures to enlarge-these
pics were taken with my first digital camera, which is now obsolete! The pic quality is not that great, and of course, does
not do the characters justice!

We have also done work at West Hills Elementary School. We painted life sized animals in the music room-elephant,
giraffe, kangaroo, etc. Character counts animals. We did one of the portable classrooms with Patriotic Jungle animals,
monkey, giraffe. The pictures have been lost of these rooms digitally-you can visit the school to see these rooms.
